Darrion Keck is an NC native trumpeter, music educator, and DMA student at the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG). Prior to acceptance at UNCG Darrion studied music at Winston-Salem State University and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he was active in multiple ensembles including principal trumpet for wind band, lead in jazz, and various chamber groups. He regularly performs with diverse ensembles throughout the region as well as the country and maintains an active trumpet studio locally. During his downtime he enjoys reading, gaming, and reconnecting with nature.
