A Downton Abbey Evening
The Piedmont Wind Symphony concludes its 25th Anniversary Season with “A Downton Abbey Evening”
The Piedmont Wind Symphony, under the direction of new Artistic Director & Conductor, Matthew Troy, will wrap up its 25th season with “A Downton Abbey Evening”, Thursday, May 21st, 2015.  This fundraising concert event includes an entire evening built around all things Downton!
Held at The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SE CCA), the evening will begin with a pre-concert party featuring Downton Abbey inspired drinks and hors d’oeuvres.  Guests will then be treated to a thrilling evening of English music written during the period of Downton.  Conducted by Maestro Matthew Troy, selections include the “Theme from Downton Abbey” as well as the music of Elgar, Holst, Von Williams and Walton.
Following the concert, guests will be treated t live jazz music provided by the Matt Kendrick trio, dessert and dancing.  Period attire is encouraged.  This first-of-its-kind event is sure to be a sell-out.  Tickets on-sale to the public beginning Tuesday, April 21st, at $75 each.  Tickets are available exclusively through the PWS office by calling 336.722.9328.
